The Department of Foreign Languages for Specific Purposes of Babes-Bolyai University will host the 12th edition of the Dynamics of Languages for Specific Purposes. Innovative Approaches and Strategies conference. This international conference represents a forum for discussing and exchanging ideas related to the multiple facets of the field, such as foreign languages for specific purposes (known as specialized languages) – theory and practice, applied linguistics, multicultural perspectives, professional communication, translation studies.

"In the 2022 edition, we want to continue the exchange of ideas and practices regarding the transforming power of new technologies by approaching the concept of multimodality in a context marked by the acceleration of the flow of information and by media convergence, as well as the need for new generations to master multiple literacies in order to understand, communicate and adapt to the digital world and a complex and ever-changing society. Digital media are increasingly present in the teaching process, demonstrating the growing interest of teachers and educational decision-makers in the multimodal nature of contemporary communication, with a special focus on visual representations, and for an integrated pedagogy of multiple literacies. These are also closely linked to the way in which the integration of technology into the teaching process responds to the accelerated dynamics of the labour market facing the new generations of students."

Adina CORNEA, Anca KISS, Ioana MUDURE-IACOB, Alexandra COTOC, Veronica-Diana MICLE (ARMAȘU), Ana-Maria HOPÂRTEAN, and Daniel-Cosmin ANDRONACHE from Babeş-Bolyai University will present the DIAL4U project.
