Mykolas Romeris University

Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) is an international university located in Vilnius and Kaunas, Lithuania. Modern, creative and entrepreneurial academic community has raised MRU to the leading university in social sciences and interdisciplinary research in Lithuania.

MRU cooperates closely with over 300 universities, public and private institutions, takes part in academic, professional and inter-sectorial networks. MRU has a full membership of the following international higher education organizations: International Association of Universities, European University Association, European Association for International Education, European-Asian Knowledge Consortium Social Technologies for Smart and Inclusive Society, etc.

Currently MRU enrols 6200 students including 504 international students and employs over 400 academic staff. The university offers doctoral, Master's and Bachelor's Degree study programmes. Over 80% of them have international accreditation. The most popular study programmes are law, management, public administration, psychology, social work, public security, etc. About 200 doctoral students study in the fields of law, management, psychology, philology, economics, and educational science.

In 2015 the Social Innovations Laboratory Network MRU LAB was established. The network includes 16 laboratories and Research and Innovation Centre. The laboratories include : Environmental Management Laboratory, Business Innovation Laboratory, Educational Technologies Laboratory, Gender Studies Laboratory, Health Laboratory, Human Rights Laboratory, Justice Laboratory, Life Quality Laboratory, Lifelong Learning Laboratory, Mediation and Sustainable Conflict Resolution Laboratory, Psychological Well-Being Laboratory, Public Governance Innovation Laboratory, Security Laboratory, Social Technologies Laboratory, Sociological Research Laboratory and Values Laboratory. Values Laboratory, from which the key staff members participate in this project conducting research, is one of the 16 research laboratories conducting high quality research. Its mission is to conduct applied and multidisciplinary research to create knowledge that can address present-day human, organizational and societal problems related to information technologies and digital worlds. Values laboratory has a strong team of full-time integrated academic staff, associate researchers and PhD students.

Their extensive work has been published in journals indexed in the most well-known databases (i.e. Scopus, Web of Science) with considerable and lasting impact. Research is conducted mainly through externally funded projects through the participation in National and EU R&D frameworks.

About DIAL4U

In 2015, MRU established the Social Innovations Laboratory Network that reinforces the university inclusive policy. MRU offers a wide range of European languages even non-European such as Korean.
